How Leo finds companies

The ideal customer profile from your site, the buying signals Leo watches, and how you steer which companies he goes after.

Leo finds new, buy-ready companies for you. You need no list and no CRM.

The ideal customer profile is built from your site

When you enter your web address Leo reads the site and derives your ideal customer profile (ICP): what you sell, which industries buy, company size, geography and decision-maker roles. If you have connected your CRM, Leo also learns from your won deals and looks for more like your best customers.

Leo also builds a buyer thesis — the sharp definition of which kind of company is actually a buyer (business model and buying trigger, not just industry and title) — and a list of disqualifiers that rule a company out even when the industry and title match (for example B2C sales, pure retail or the public sector, depending on what you sell). Before Leo contacts anyone, the company's own business is weighed against the buyer thesis: a company having salespeople or hiring does not make it a buyer. You can see and adjust both the buyer thesis and the disqualifiers in settings.

The buying signals Leo watches

Leo watches public buying signals continuously, for example:

  • Hiring, especially sales roles: companies hiring salespeople are building pipeline
  • Funding: a round means budget and growth plans
  • Expansion: new markets, new offices, new bets
  • Leadership changes: a new decision-maker reconsiders old choices
  • Tech switches: a shift your product complements or replaces

The signal decides the timing and becomes the angle of the first message. More on the logic in the buying signals guide.

How you steer which companies Leo goes after

  • Your own instructions: write tone, rules and goals in settings, Leo follows them before his standard rules
  • Watch companies: ask Leo to watch a specific company, for example "watch oneflow.com" in the chat
  • Suppress: say "don't contact X", or connect your CRM so customers and open deals are suppressed automatically
  • Feedback: tell Leo which leads you want more of, he reprioritizes

What happens with the companies Leo finds?

Every company shows up under Leads with the signal that motivates the contact. Leo researches the company, writes a personal message in your voice and queues it for approval, or sends directly if you set the channel to auto.
